Company History
Founded in 1996, NeuConcept has been in the business of technology and design for over 13 years, loving every minute as we maximize productivity and improve lives. In fact, we’ve been working with the web prior to Internet Explorer and the HTML Table tag! We’ve been fortunate to turn our hobbies into careers. We spend our evenings and weekends learning about technology and communications. Why? Because we love it.
In 2008, we added marketing, writing and public relations. We found that many of our clients needed help communicating their identity and reaching out to potential customers. Plus, we needed a people person in the company who could help our customers with strategy and project management.

NeuConcept Productions brings together the talents of Brett and Sonia Coleman, augmented by a dynamic and diverse team of website developers, consultants, graphic designers, programmers and project managers.
Brett Coleman, Founder & Chief Geek
Brett spent his youth behind a computer screen, experimenting with reversing audio and turning pixels on and off. He was thrilled when he was able to modify a picture with MacPaint in 1985 (long before Photoshop came on the scene).
He studied graphic design and managed the computer services department at the largest Kinko’s in the country at the time. He then went to work for a printing company in pre-press production and once spent days removing pinstripes from Anna Nicole Smith’s suit for Lane Bryant.
When the Internet first emerged, Brett pondered buying up all the Internet domain names… but he thought it was unethical, plus each domain name cost $100. Oh well, who needs a billion dollars anyway? Instead, he founded NeuConcept Productions in 1996.
Through NeuConcept, Brett has worked with more than 100 clients over the years, providing services including desktop publishing, technology and computer consulting, Web design, Photoshop wizardry and graphic design. He is an expert in Adobe Indesign, QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, as well as many e-commerce and web applications.
Brett is an Apple/Unix geek, audiophile, mountain biker, snow skier and avid technology buff. Check out his highlighted RSS feeds on the homepage so you can know what’s cool and new in technology too.
Sonia Coleman, Project Manager & Geek in Disguise
Sonia grew up as somewhat of an oddity: a writer bookworm who loved to talk. However, she found that her love of people and words melded together perfectly for a career in communications. Along the way, she also discovered desktop publishing, design and video producing. Plus, in large part due to Brett, she has become a proficient geek.
She has over 14 years experience in writing, communications and publicity. Her professional background includes association management, public relations, marketing, fundraising and journalism. Sonia has served as the director of public relations and the director of marketing & communications for a national trade association. She also has nearly nine years of experience in the electrical industry.
Sonia loves people, words, and getting things done. She achieves results by leveraging technology, understanding people, and creating effective messages throughout various media, with the end goal always in sight. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW). She has won 16 national awards for writing and publication design, and she currently writes for multiple magazines.
Sonia is currently pursuing her Master’s in Fine Arts in Writing from Lindenwood University and also holds undergraduate degrees in Communications (Journalism Emphasis) and English from Culver-Stockton College. She also owns Coleman Unlimited, LLC, a communication company.
